The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade continues to be a beloved tradition for millions of Americans, and this year’s event saw a record-breaking viewership of 31.3 million across NBC and Peacock. The parade, which featured marching bands, Broadway troupes, celebrities, floats, and giant inflatable balloons, attracted an impressive 23.6 million viewers during its live airing on NBC alone.

Total viewership of the parade increased by 10% from the previous year, with streaming hours on Peacock climbing by 26%. The live telecast also performed well in the adults 18-49 demographic, earning a 5.4 rating, the highest for an entertainment telecast since 2021.

In addition to the parade, the National Dog Show presented by Purina also saw a boost in viewership, with 12.2 million viewers tuning in across all platforms, a 5% increase from the previous year.
Overall, NBC had a successful Thanksgiving, with the special Thanksgiving edition of “Sunday Night Football” and late-night shows like “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night With Seth Meyers” seeing a surge in viewership.
