Colorado has solidified its reputation as the premier destination for both skiing and après-ski drinks in the United States. Despite facing tough competition from popular spots like Tahoe, Whistler, Vermont, and Jackson Hole, Colorado managed to secure two spots on USA Today’s latest list of the best après-ski bars in North America – with a brewery taking the top spot.
Claiming the No. 8 spot is The Fitz at Manor Vail Lodge in Vail, known for its delicious comfort food and creative drinks that cater to both foodies and families. Meanwhile, snagging the coveted No. 1 position is Outer Range Brewing in Frisco, praised for its commitment to giving back to the Summit County community and its mouth-watering Thai-ish fried chicken that has become a favorite among post-ski revelers.
Established in 2016 by Lee and Emily Cleghorn, Outer Range Brewing not only offers a vibrant and bustling atmosphere but also produces some of the finest hazy IPAs and double IPAs in the state. The brewery’s philanthropic efforts, collaborations with other breweries, and inclusion in JS’s list of top breweries and distilleries to visit in Colorado further solidify its status as a must-visit destination.
