Damage CTRL, a prominent WWE faction, is on a mission to reclaim its former glory after a period of decline. Once dominating both singles and tag team competition on the roster, the stable is now setting its sights on the newly introduced Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

The faction, known for its heel tactics, made a surprising turn to babyface in July 2024. Previously holding the WWE Women’s Championship with IYO SKY and the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Asuka and Kairi Sane, Damage CTRL is now looking to add another prestigious title to its collection.

One of the key members of Damage CTRL, Dakota Kai, recently returned to action after being sidelined with a knee injury. Following the latest episode of RAW, Kai took to social media to declare the faction’s interest in the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

In a tweet, Kai boldly stated, “That IC title is in Damage CTRL’s crosshairs,” expressing her determination to capture the inaugural Women’s IC Championship. However, their path to glory is not without obstacles.

Rival faction Pure Fusion Collective (PFC) has also set its sights on the Women’s Intercontinental Title, sparking a heated feud between the two groups. PFC, responsible for Kai’s previous injury and hiatus, made their intentions clear during a confrontation on RAW Talk.

Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville of PFC interrupted Kai, with Deville dismissing Kai’s comeback story and vowing to prevent Damage CTRL from claiming the title. Tensions escalated as the wrestlers from both factions exchanged words before PFC walked away, leaving fans eager to see how the rivalry unfolds.

With the stage set for the crowning of the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, anticipation is high for the upcoming showdown between Damage CTRL and Pure Fusion Collective. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see which faction will emerge victorious and etch their name in WWE history.

As the drama unfolds in the women’s division, the WWE universe eagerly awaits the next chapter in the rivalry between Damage CTRL and Pure Fusion Collective. With both factions eyeing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, the stage is set for an epic showdown that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the WWE landscape.
