Kamala Harris Dodges Questions on Border Crisis During Presidential Debate

During the recent presidential debate, Vice President Kamala Harris faced tough questions about the ongoing border crisis. However, her responses were seen as deflective and lacking in substance.

When pressed on why the administration waited until six months before the election to address the border crisis, Harris avoided the question and instead highlighted her past experience prosecuting transnational criminal organizations during her time as the attorney general of California.
She also mentioned her support for a Senate border bill that aimed to increase border agents, even though she had previously opposed funding for more Border Patrol and ICE officers and advocated for abolishing ICE altogether.
Despite claims of supporting border security measures, Harris did not provide a concrete plan for addressing the root causes of migration or the record number of illegal entries during her tenure.
