Patriot and warrior Pete Hegseth has been nominated by President Trump for Secretary of Defense, a move that has the left shaking in their boots. Despite facing a barrage of hit pieces and attacks, Hegseth remains steadfast in his mission to restore our military to its former glory.

President Trump has consistently voiced his support for Hegseth, further solidifying his position as a strong candidate for the role. However, this week Hegseth found himself embroiled in a controversy with far-left media outlet ProPublica. The outlet was planning to publish a false report questioning Hegseth’s acceptance to West Point, a prestigious military academy.

Although Hegseth did not ultimately attend West Point, he was proud of his nomination and the honor it bestowed upon him. When ProPublica reached out to West Point to verify his nomination, the academy claimed that no offer had been extended to Hegseth. In order to thwart the impending smear campaign, Hegseth produced his acceptance letter signed by West Point Superintendent, Lieutenant General Daniel Christman.

Taking to Twitter, Hegseth shared his acceptance letter as proof of his nomination, effectively shutting down ProPublica’s false narrative. The editor of ProPublica, Jesse Eisinger, recounted the events leading up to the decision not to publish the story, attributing it to journalistic integrity.

It was Hegseth’s foresight in saving documents dating back 25 years that ultimately saved him from a damaging smear campaign. Had he not kept those records, the outcome could have been very different. Despite West Point initially failing to correct the record with ProPublica, they eventually issued a correction after Hegseth provided the necessary evidence.

In the end, Hegseth’s diligence and commitment to the truth prevailed, proving once again that he is a warrior dedicated to upholding the integrity of our military. As he continues on his path to potentially becoming Secretary of Defense, Hegseth’s unwavering determination and strength in the face of adversity serve as a testament to his qualifications for the role.
