“Saturday Night Live” Delivers Hilarious “Family Feud” Sketch with Democrats and Republicans

The latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” brought the Democrats and Republicans together in a hilarious game of “Family Feud,” hosted by Kenan Thompson as Steve Harvey. The sketch featured Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris, Jim Gaffigan as Tim Walz, Andy Samberg as Doug Emhoff, Dana Carvey as Joe Biden, James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump, Mikey Day as Donald Trump Jr., and Bowen Yang as J.D. Vance.

One of the standout moments from the sketch was when Thompson asked the contestants to name something they keep in their glove compartment. Rudolph’s Harris jokingly answered with “a Glock,” referencing a recent viral interview moment. She continued to play up the humor by mentioning her upbringing in a middle-class family and jokingly insisting on the answer of a “big ol’ Glock.”

Another comedic moment came when Bowen Yang’s Vance blamed liberals for the failure of “Joker 2” and hilariously described Joaquin Phoenix’s character as a “gay guy who’s obsessed with Lady Gaga.” Yang’s delivery of the line added to the laughter in the sketch.

The episode also highlighted the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” which premiered on October 11, 1975. As part of the anniversary celebrations, a new movie titled “Saturday Night” has been released, focusing on the first broadcast of the iconic show. The 50th season kicked off with hosts like Jean Smart and musical guests like Jelly Roll, with upcoming episodes featuring Michael Keaton, Billie Eilish, John Mulaney, and Chappell Roan.

Overall, the “Family Feud” sketch brought together political satire and humor in classic “Saturday Night Live” fashion, entertaining audiences and showcasing the talent of the cast. With its blend of comedy and current events, the sketch was a standout moment in the long-running show’s history.
