Two Workers Rescued from Trench at Centennial Construction Site

On Tuesday morning, South Metro Fire Rescue successfully rescued two workers from a trench at a construction site in Centennial. The incident occurred along Cherry Creek Trail, near Parker Road and Broncos Parkway, with crews responding to reports of people trapped in the trench around 7:27 a.m.

One of the individuals was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while no further details were provided about the second person. The rescue operation was completed by 8:45 a.m., with both workers safely extracted from the trench.

The trench, measuring 10 feet wide, five feet deep, and 75 feet long, was surrounded by heavy machinery and ladders were used by the rescue team to access the trapped workers. A photo shared by the fire department and a follow-up video show the intense rescue efforts.
