A shocking incident occurred on Halloween morning outside the Daley Center in Chicago when a 29-year-old man from Wisconsin was attacked and robbed by a group of individuals, including a 14-year-old boy. The victim was walking on West Washington Street when he was approached by the assailants, who struck him in the face and attempted to steal from him. The man managed to escape to safety inside the Daley Center, where he alerted sheriff’s deputies.
Law enforcement officers quickly responded to the scene and located one of the attackers, the juvenile, inside the Block 37 building on West Washington Street. The young boy was apprehended and turned over to the Chicago Police Department to face charges of attempted robbery and battery. Unfortunately, the other offenders managed to flee through the Block 37 building before they could be apprehended.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries during the attack, was treated by Chicago Fire Department personnel at the scene. Due to the juvenile status of the arrested individual, no further information has been released as juvenile cases are protected by Illinois law.
