’16 & Pregnant’ Star Whitney Purvis
Avoids Arrest for Back Child Support

Whitney Purvis has managed to avoid arrest in her child support case by making a substantial payment as ordered by the court, according to TMZ.
Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed that the former “16 and Pregnant” star was facing potential arrest for falling behind on over $23,000 in child support payments for her children, Weston Jr. and River, with ex Weston Gosa.
To avoid jail time, Purvis was required to make a $4,000 lump sum payment. She successfully paid the full amount, leading the judge to rescind the arrest order before she was taken into custody.
Purvis is still required to make monthly child support payments of $353, along with $20 towards the arrears, in addition to processing fees.
Recent events have seen Purvis facing legal trouble, including an arrest on charges of involuntary manslaughter related to an alleged fatal overdose. She is also facing drug charges, including possession with intent to distribute, following the tragic death of her son, Weston Jr.
Despite these challenges, Purvis must continue to meet her child support obligations and deal with the legal ramifications of her recent arrests.
