Two Suspects Arrested for First-Degree Murder in Denver Shooting Incident
Two individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder following a tragic shooting incident in Green Valley Ranch. The Denver Police Department reported that the suspects, Ashley Stone, 38, and David Bland, 39, allegedly fired shots at a vehicle, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to a passenger and two children as the vehicle crashed and rolled.
The altercation reportedly began when Stone got into a confrontation with a woman who was a passenger in the victims’ car. The suspects are believed to have followed the victims’ vehicle and opened fire, leading to the fatal outcome.
Law enforcement officers initially responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of East 38th Avenue and North Odessa Street, where they discovered that the male driver had sustained gunshot wounds prior to the collision. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while a woman and two children were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities have indicated that Stone and Bland were acquainted with the victims. The identity of the deceased individual will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, and the Denver District Attorney’s Office will determine the formal charges in the case.
Both suspects are currently being held at the Downtown Detention Center. Details regarding their upcoming court appearances were not available at the time of reporting.
