Triple Shooting Leaves Two Dead in Tri-Taylor

Three gunmen launched a deadly attack in broad daylight on Tuesday afternoon, targeting a vehicle in a fast food parking lot in Tri-Taylor. The incident resulted in the deaths of two men and left another critically injured.

The tragic event took place around 1:20 p.m. outside a White Castle restaurant located at 2356 West Roosevelt Road, as reported by Chicago police and eyewitnesses. The victims were inside a vehicle when three assailants approached on foot and unleashed a barrage of gunfire, according to CPD.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered between 25 and 30 shell casings strewn across the parking lot and drive-thru area. The intensity of the shooting caused the victims’ vehicle to catch fire, with only two of the occupants managing to escape the flames.

One victim, a 28-year-old man, was found deceased in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. Another victim, aged 44, sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was rushed to Stroger Hospital by a passerby for urgent medical treatment.

Tragically, the third victim, a 35-year-old man, remained trapped inside the burning vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Surveillance footage captured three Black males fleeing the area in a gray Dodge Durango. One of the suspects, dressed entirely in black, was armed with a handgun, while the other two individuals wore all gray attire, with one carrying a handgun and the other brandishing a rifle, as per a police officer’s statement.

While the identities of the victims have not been disclosed by authorities, CPD and court records indicate that all three men had significant prior arrests, primarily related to narcotics offenses.
