Tragic House Explosion Claims Two Lives in Pueblo County
Authorities in Pueblo County confirmed that a devastating house explosion took the lives of two individuals on Thursday. The incident occurred in a rural area near 57th Lane and Cherry Road, located south of Boone, approximately 20 miles east of Pueblo along the Arkansas River, as reported by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders discovered a man and a woman inside the home, which was already engulfed in flames. Tragically, both individuals lost their lives in the explosion. Search crews were able to recover one body on Thursday, with the second body being found the following morning. The victims’ identities will be disclosed by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office.
Although initial findings suggest that the explosion was accidental, the case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control. Authorities are actively working to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
