Authorities are investigating three men in connection with the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl from South Jordan, Utah, who went missing five weeks ago. At least one of the men engaged in disturbing sexual chats with the girl in an attempt to meet her, according to reports.
Alisa Petrov was reported missing on April 21, shortly after her last communication with a 41-year-old man from Herriman, Utah, whom she had been conversing with about sexual topics. Their exchanges included discussions about condoms, sex games, and plans to meet in person.
Before disappearing, Petrov sent a message to the man stating, “I’M RUNNING AWAY. Please don’t contact me,” indicating her intentions.
The man has not been charged yet, but a search warrant has been issued for his home and phone based on evidence of possible enticement and exploitation of a minor found in their conversations.
Messages between Petrov and the man were discovered on her iPad, which she left behind in her room. Some messages may have been deleted, as per the warrant.
Two other men, William Taylor Glines, 37, currently in custody in Texas, and Matthew Nicholas Menard, 35, from Florida, who is still at large, have also been charged in connection with Petrov’s disappearance.
Petrov is considered a runaway juvenile in danger, and her family has offered a $20,000 reward for any information leading to her safe return.
Anyone with information on Petrov’s whereabouts is urged to contact the South Jordan Police Department.
