Achieving over 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes is a significant rarity for shows. Even the recently launched reruns of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie only earned an 81 percent rating.
Surprisingly, only three new Netflix shows boast at least a 90 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, and all are returning series.
Two of these series are Netflix originals, and they offer distinctly different experiences.
This month’s final Watch With Us entry comes from AMC and stands out as one of the top shows available.
‘The Diplomat’ (2023 – Present)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 90 percent
The Diplomat stands out as a rare Netflix original that receives annual new seasons, with a fourth season already in development. This political thriller features Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, the new U.S. ambassador to the UK. As Kate’s political influence grows, it begins to overshadow that of her husband, Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), just as she becomes embroiled in a critical international crisis that could strain U.S.-UK relations.
Season 3 premieres this month, placing Kate in yet another precarious role. The new U.S. President, Grace Penn (Allison Janney), knows Kate’s secrets, raising concerns about her trust in the President regarding her safety and career.
You can watch seasons 1 and 2 of The Diplomat on Netflix. Season 3 debuts on October 16.
‘Nobody Wants This’ (2024 – Present)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 95 percent
Breaking out as last year’s romantic comedy hit, Nobody Wants This is returning with a new season just 13 months following the initial release. Starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the show follows the unlikely pairing of Joanne Williams and Noah Roklov. Joanne is a relationship podcaster hesitant about faith, while Noah is a devoted rabbi.
In its second season, Joanne and Noah find themselves more intertwined than ever as they tackle life’s major questions together. While the future remains uncertain, their authentic love appears strong enough to help them navigate the challenges ahead.
The first season of Nobody Wants This is available for streaming on Netflix, with season 2 set to premiere on October 23.
‘Dark Winds’ (2022 – Present)

Dark Winds, broadcast by AMC, stands out as a show with an immaculate Rotten Tomatoes score. It is defined as a ‘noir thriller’ set in the 1970s in the Four Corners region, primarily occupied by native tribes. In it, Zahn McClarnon plays tribal police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, who teams up with Kiowa Gordon as Jim Chee, an FBI agent masquerading as Leaphorn’s deputy.
The third season premiered on AMC earlier this year and will soon be available on Netflix. This latest season sees Leaphorn uncovering one of his deepest secrets amid a manhunt. Having experienced many things, he might not be wrong when he labels his new target as a “monster.”
You can watch seasons 1 and 2 of Dark Winds on Netflix, with season 3 set to arrive on October 27.
