Three individuals were shot outside a Queens nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning, as reported by law enforcement sources and police officials. The victims, comprising two 23-year-old women and a 24-year-old man, were seated inside a white Rolls Royce with Illinois license plates parked in front of the Amadeus Nightclub on Albion Avenue near Barnwell Avenue in Elmhurst when an unidentified assailant began shooting at their vehicle.
According to authorities, one of the women sustained a gunshot wound to her chest and was promptly transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center in a marked NYPD vehicle, where she was listed in stable condition. The other woman was shot in her right ankle, while the man was struck in his right arm, both of whom were also taken to the same hospital by EMS personnel and were listed in stable condition.
As of Monday, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting, and law enforcement officials are actively investigating the motive behind the violent incident. This marks a continuation of violence at the nightclub, as in January 2023, a 19-year-old man was fatally shot and a 31-year-old woman was injured in a shooting outside the establishment. Reports indicated that a dispute originating inside the nightclub escalated outside, leading to the suspect opening fire.
The ongoing investigation into Sunday’s shooting underscores the persistent issue of violence surrounding the nightclub, emphasizing the need for enhanced security measures and preventive strategies to ensure the safety of patrons and individuals in the vicinity. The recurrence of such incidents highlights the importance of addressing root causes and implementing effective measures to curb violence and maintain public safety in the community.
