Disney’s decision to suspend Kimmel’s popular late-night program “indefinitely” follows a backlash from Nexstar Media, one of the largest television station owners in the U.S. Nexstar announced its intention to pre-empt Kimmel’s show following controversial remarks made by the host regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
