Five Injured in Aurora Crash
Five people were sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash in Aurora, police said.
According to the Aurora Police Department, one of the cars ran a red light and crashed into the other, possibly while speeding.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near East 40th Avenue and Peña Boulevard. Paramedics transported five adults to the hospital, two with serious or life-threatening injuries and three with minor injuries.
East 40th Avenue and Peña Boulevard were closed for several hours for investigation and clean-up. While Peña Boulevard has since reopened, East 40th Avenue remains closed as of 6:30 a.m.
