The ULP missions in GTA Online were introduced in the Criminal Enterprise DLC. There are six missions you need to finish overall after being sworn in to officially be an agent for the organization. In the current weekly update, i.e., from January 8 to January 14, 2026, the Operation Paper Trail mission is paying out double GTA$ and RP, which makes this a wonderful time to finish the ULP missions.
This article will go over five tips for playing and finishing the ULP missions in GTA Online.
Five tips for finishing the ULP missions in GTA Online
1) Manage time well
This may seem like an obvious bit of advice; however, it is a practical one, especially if you’ve never played the missions before. The ULP missions in GTA Online can feel painfully slow because they incorporate mechanics that force you to spend longer in the game than you may have to otherwise.
For instance, in Intelligence, your character slightly crouches and walks slowly in an empty house with no security. The missions can be painfully slow so save time where you can, such as driving a fast car between locations.
2) Focus on getting to Operation Paper Trail

Operation Paper Trails is the fifth of the ULP missions in GTA Online. The current weekly update, as of the time of writing, introduced a double payout offer for finishing this mission. During this mission, you’ll be interrupting a deal with gunfire and some sharp shooting.
It’s ideal to get to this mission quickly since the double payout window is only open until January 14, 2026. Prioritize finishing it ahead of time to claim the money and RP.
3) Use suppressed weapons

There will be several situations where using suppressed weapons would prove to be a huge advantage. The perfect example is the Intelligence missions where you need to take out FIB agents quietly.
A similar method can be utilized in other missions as well to avoid getting hit and taken down unnecessarily in the game. Furthermore, this may also make progress faster and easier since no one would notice when you shoot down security guards or other agents.
This tip applies to all missions except for the last one of the ULP missions in GTA Online, Cleanup, where you may want to use a heavier weapon.
4) Use the Railgun or RPG for Cleanup

In Cleanup, you will have to bring down an aggressive chopper. In this situation, you can use a minigun. However, if you have the Railgun, it may be able to one-shot the chopper and bring it down almost instantaneously.
Ensure you also have a Parachute available because the helicopter will then fall down the cliff, and you’ll get chased by yet another chopper. Escape the mountain and get to a safer zone with the Parachute and use the Railgun to your advantage again.
Make sure you are in areas that provide you with plenty of cover because the gunfire from the helicopters will be almost constant.
5) Work in a team

The idea of finishing all the ULP missions in GTA Online solo is rather tempting. You get to keep all the money and get all the action for yourself. However, the missions take a long and you’re often faced with tons of enemies.
This is why it’s better to work with a group. It helps you finish missions faster and remain alive throughout the entirety of the missions. In the long run, this allows you to get out alive and make all the money.
These were some tips you can use if you’re looking forward to finishing the ULP missions in GTA Online during the current weekly update. The missions are generally rather straightforward and do not challenge you cognitively to make difficult decisions. With good mechanics, you will be able to finish it without hassle.
