The FBI has made headlines once again as it raided the residence of a former U.S. President, an action steeped in controversy and distrust. This is the same individual who, in 2016, faced a concerted political effort from within the FBI to hinder his election, followed by a fraught investigation during his term, often dubbed the “Russiagate” affair.
Claims suggest that FBI leaders from the previous Obama/Biden administration orchestrated an agenda that involved employing dubious informants, reportedly Russian, to undermine the President’s legitimacy while in office.
At least 14 whistleblowers from the FBI reached out to Rep. Jim Jordan in 2022, bringing forth serious allegations of misconduct and retaliatory practices within the bureau under Christopher Wray’s oversight.
Jordan further indicated that retaliation impacted at least one whistleblower, who faced a ‘purge’ of conservative employees within the institution.
Concerns were raised that conservative employees were having their security clearances revoked as a reprisal for their beliefs and allegiances.
In September 2022, several insiders informed The Washington Times that the agency was increasingly politicized, as liberal agents were promoted while those identified with conservative ideologies faced penalties or dismissals.

This trend institutionalizes a liberal bias in the upper echelons of America’s premier law enforcement body.
In a notable instance, an FBI agent publicly showed support for the Black Lives Matter movement by taking a knee during a protest in Washington. This act, rather than leading to reprimand, resulted in a promotion to a supervisory position.
The protests in Washington back in 2020 were part of a nationwide response to the tragic killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Many law enforcement officers demonstrated solidarity by kneeling alongside BLM protesters in various cities, such as Austin, Los Angeles, and Portland.
Among six on-duty agents who participated in the kneeling in Washington, one female agent was later elevated to the second-highest supervisory role in the local field office.
The protests tied to the death of George Floyd ignited widespread demonstrations across the nation. Unfortunately, the decision of certain law enforcement officials to kneel alongside the protesters was viewed by some as a capitulation.
Fast forward to recent times, and it seems that those FBI agents who publicly supported the movement by kneeling have now lost their positions.

Finally, it appears the FBI is taking steps to remove what some classify as partisan influences from its ranks.
