A daring cyclist confronted US Customs and Border Protection agents in downtown Chicago, shouting “I’m not a US citizen!” before initiating a chaotic street chase that was captured on video.

The intense scene reveals an unidentified cyclist approaching a group of agents on Sunday while federal immigration officers were conducting patrols in the city.

“I’m not a US citizen! Come on!” the cyclist can be heard taunting the agents repeatedly.

As an officer nears him, the defiant rider continues down the street, still hurling insults, but loses his phone in the process.

“You dropped your phone,” one officer calls out.

When the rider circles back to retrieve his phone, an agent shouts, “Get him!” prompting a dozen officers to sprint in pursuit of him.

Despite the agents’ efforts, the cyclist managed to evade them and pedaled away.

The incident was filmed by Christopher Sweat, who noted that while the man made verbal provocations, there was no physical confrontation.

Authorities have not revealed whether the individual was identified or apprehended, as reported by Fox 32.

Federal agents equipped with tactical gear were deployed in downtown Chicago as part of an immigration enforcement operation over the weekend.

A large contingent of these agents was seen monitoring some of Chicago’s busiest tourist and shopping districts during a series of ICE operations that began Sunday afternoon.

Trump shared clips on Truth Social late Sunday featuring demonstrators confronting federal agents while declaring, “Border Patrol will take no nonsense!”

Chicago’s Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, both Democrats, criticized the show of force employed by the Trump administration.

It remains unclear how many undocumented immigrants were apprehended during the operation in Chicago.

This operation comes just weeks after Trump hinted at the possibility of deploying the National Guard to the city as part of his immigration enforcement measures.

The events in Chicago coincided with federal agents arriving in Portland, Oregon over the weekend, following Trump’s directive for military deployment in that city as well.

Clashes occurred outside an ICE facility as Trump confirmed he’d authorized a “full force” response to protect a “war ravaged Portland” and federal buildings “under siege by ANTIFA and other domestic terrorists.”
