Celebrate Diwali 2025 at NYC’s Finest Indian Restaurants

When I first met my husband Rahul, who hails from New Delhi, Diwali was just a distant celebration in my life. Fast forward a decade, and this vibrant “Festival of Lights”—typically celebrated in October or November—has become a beloved part of my autumn routine in New York City. The atmosphere buzzes with festivity, joy, and twinkling lights, making this holiday a truly joyous occasion. To immerse yourself in Diwali’s exquisite spirit, there’s no better place than one of New York City’s exceptional Indian restaurants. As the city ushers in an Indian food renaissance, many eateries are offering delightful holiday specials to celebrate the festival. Mark your calendars—this year’s Diwali falls on October 20!
