A collection of partial skeletal remains, including a human skull, was discovered on Monday afternoon in a bustling Queens strip mall, just one week after city sanitation workers stumbled upon a woman’s torso concealed in a trash bag during a cleanup operation in the same area.

According to initial reports from the NYPD, a skull, hip bone, and leg bone were unearthed at the location of 134-01 20th Ave. in College Point.

This discovery took place just behind a chain link fence, adjacent to a large parking lot filled with popular retail outlets such as ShopRite, Target, HomeGoods, and TJ Maxx.

NYPD officers were on the scene for the majority of Monday, collaborating with homicide detectives to examine the area meticulously.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active, according to police reports.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is actively engaged in determining the cause of death.

This shocking find comes just a week after a couple of unfortunate Sanitation Department workers discovered a woman’s torso hidden within a trash bag they picked up during their early morning collection in Queens.

Upon noticing the suspicious blue bag secured with tape and rope, the sanitation workers promptly alerted the NYPD about their concerning find.

Inside the bag, authorities found the dismembered and decomposing torso of a woman, with her limbs and head still missing.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death is ongoing, but officers are hoping to leverage “distinctive and identifiable tattoos,” including a set featuring three names, to aid in her identification.
