In a bizarre case out of Florida, Craig Vogt, 61, is accused of killing, cooking, and consuming two of his pet peacocks as a twisted act of vengeance against his neighbor, who had been feeding them. This shocking incident was revealed through court documents.

Vogt was taken into custody last Tuesday in Hudson after he left a disturbing letter in his neighbor’s mailbox, stating that he had slaughtered and prepared his peacocks as a direct response to her actions, according to an affidavit from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, which was acquired by The Post.

According to the affidavit, Vogt recounted the method of killing the peacocks by slicing their necks with a knife before frying them in a pan.

He claimed that his intention was to “prove a point” to his neighbor, stating that he would continue to eliminate his pet peacocks if she persisted in feeding them. This revelation followed previous disputes between the neighbors regarding the birds.

While being transported to jail, Vogt chillingly informed police of his intentions to slaughter all his peacocks to deter anyone from claiming ownership of them, as per the affidavit.

In his mugshot, Vogt displayed a disturbing expression, with one eye notably closed.

He is now facing a third-degree felony charge for aggravated animal cruelty, as indicated in court documents.

Vogt reportedly has a lengthy criminal history in Pasco County with over 40 cases, which include charges for public intoxication, criminal traffic offenses, and aggravated assault.

At this time, it remains unclear how many peacocks Vogt actually owns.
