Micah Plath navigated a tumultuous emotional landscape during the Welcome to Plathville season 7 finale, ultimately leading to his breakup with Veronica Peters.
Following a heated off-camera altercation with his brother, Isaac Plath, Micah, 24, had what he described as a come-to-Jesus moment with his family and Veronica during the dramatic episode that aired on September 30.
“It feels like Veronica has been dousing everything in lighter fluid and just waiting for me to strike a match,” Micah expressed to the cameras. “Truth has a way of surfacing, and secrets are short-lived.”
Veronica, distinctly unapologetic for her actions—including allegations against Ethan Plath‘s girlfriend Teegan Nichols regarding an OnlyFans account—openly admitted to disparaging Micah’s mother, Kim Plath, behind her back.
Consequently, Micah confronted her directly: “It’s over between us,” and proceeded to travel with his brothers to Boca Raton, Florida, to collect his belongings from their shared residence. TLC disclosed that Micah was “accompanied by a police officer” during this retrieval while producers escorted Veronica back to the house independently.
Just two days later, as he reflected on the tumultuous ups and downs of his passionate relationship with Veronica, Micah admitted, “Gathering my last belongings from the garage really hit home. It made me break down. I couldn’t hold back the tears.”
In contrast, Micah’s family expressed relief over the demise of his relationship, particularly given their belief that Veronica had been spreading falsehoods about them.
“Veronica claims that Micah, Isaac, and I left her stranded on the roadside. That’s a blatant falsehood,” Ethan, 27, asserted during the finale. “She’s accused my family of mistreating animals and even of incest—absurdities that simply aren’t true.”
He continued, “All she seems to be doing is hunting for dirt to throw at anyone to cast them in a negative light.”
In a calm demeanor, Micah asserted his refusal to engage with Veronica’s unfounded claims, saying, “There’s no need to give those issues the time of day. People can see through the chaos easily enough.” He pointed out, “She asserts she’s anti-bullying, yet she engages in it herself.”
Micah expressed his intent to focus on healing, asserting it would be more manageable if he refrained from dwelling on the negativity.
Micah’s father, Barry Plath, also shared insights on the breakup, noting, “I’ve never labeled her a liar, but it’s become evident that she may exaggerate the truth. Now it seems clear that she has shown herself to be dishonest.”
Before the season 7 finale, Micah and Veronica endured numerous ups and downs and sought couples therapy throughout the season. Micah also acknowledged his previous infidelity when they were maintaining a long-distance relationship.
Veronica discreetly confirmed the breakup in July, shortly before the latest season premiered, exclaiming in an Instagram video, “So, they did it. They broke me,” subtly indicating that Micah’s family contributed to the unraveling of their relationship.
Us Weekly previously reached out to both Micah and TLC for a statement in response to Veronica’s allegations.
