Renowned actress Brooke Shields is making a highly anticipated return to Hope Valley as she joins the cast of Hallmark’s beloved series, “When Calls the Heart.” Shields will be gracing the screen in three episodes during the upcoming Season 13.

The talented actress originally appeared on the show in its third season back in 2016, participating in two episodes as Charlotte Thornton, the mother of Jack (played by Daniel Lissing), who tragically passed away off-screen during Season 5.

The series, which has developed a devoted fan base, features an ensemble cast including Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. Fans can look forward to the new season premiering in 2026 on the Hallmark Channel, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Hallmark+.

As Season 12 wrapped in March, viewers saw Elizabeth (Krakow) and Nathan (McGarry) relocate to Charlotte’s boarding house, where exciting new dynamics will unfold. The upcoming season promises to explore a touching bond between Charlotte and her grandson, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich), as she guides him on a journey to reconnect with memories of his father.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back Brooke Shields to the ‘When Calls the Heart’ family,” expressed Michelle Vicary, head of programming at Hallmark Media. “Her initial appearance on the series resonated deeply with our audience, and we are excited for the Hearties to experience Charlotte’s heartfelt reunion.”

“When Calls the Heart” is inspired by the novel of the same name written by Janette Oke. It is a production of All Canadian Entertainment in collaboration with Brad Krevoy Television and Believe Pictures. The show boasts an impressive team of executive producers including Brad Krevoy, Brian Bird, Michael Landon Jr., Joy Gregory, Mike Rohl, Jimmy Townsend, Amy Hartwick, Erin Krakow, Susie Belzberg, and Michael Shepard, along with producers Vicki Sotheran and Greg Malcolm.
