Terror Strikes in Manchester
In an unsettling turn of events, as Prime Minister Keir Starmer was preoccupied with denouncing alleged racism in the Metropolitan police, an individual identified as a British citizen of Syrian descent launched an attack on a synagogue in Manchester. This incident involved him driving his vehicle into the building, emerging while armed with a knife and reportedly wearing a suicide belt, leading to the tragic deaths of two individuals before he was neutralized by armed police.
In what can only be described as a missed opportunity for silence, Starmer found himself thrust into the harsh reality of the situation.
The New York Post elaborated:
“The assailant, later identified as 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie, conducted this brutal act outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, which was marking Yom Kippur, the highest holy day on the Jewish calendar.”

“Authorities are confident that the individual behind today’s heinous act is indeed Jihad Al-Shamie, pending formal identification,” released a statement from police, as covered by The Sun.
Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene where the suspect targeted a security guard and attempted to breach the synagogue.
“He emerged from the vehicle and started attacking anyone in his vicinity. His sights were set on the security guard, and he tried to break into the synagogue,” recounted an eyewitness to The Sun.
As the tragedy unfolded, Al-Shamie was ultimately shot dead while attempting to force his way into the building.
In an ironic twist, Starmer, while previously critiquing police actions, was compelled to address the fact that such heinous acts warrant condemnation.
“This incident represents a horrific terrorist attack on Jewish individuals, simply for their identity,” Starmer expressed on social media. “Antisemitism is on the rise and must be confronted, once more, by Britain.”
