WASHINGTON — President Trump has unveiled his ambitious plans for the upcoming midterms, expressing a desire to “survive” amid what he describes as left-wing violence.

This somber remark came during an interview with One America News Network that aired on Thursday when a reporter inquired about his campaigning efforts for GOP candidates.

“I have big plans, I want to survive,” Trump noted with a chuckle.

“Just observe the chaos occurring around us; it’s absolutely insane. The rhetoric from these radical Democrats is exceptionally hazardous. They’ve turned politics into a perilous game,” he stated.

“And we’ll make sure you’re very satisfied with the progress we’re going to make in 2026,” he added regarding his future objectives.

Two assassination attempts targeted Trump during his 2024 presidential campaign.

A bullet grazed Trump’s ear during an event in Butler, Pennsylvania, when assailant Thomas Matthew Crooks, 22, tried to take his life from a rooftop. The close call left Trump with a bandage on his ear for several days.

This near-fatal incident had a profound effect on Trump, as he often recalls Corey Compartore, a firefighter who tragically died while protecting his daughter from gunfire at the rally.

Authorities have yet to officially ascertain Crooks’ motive, with the assailant being killed at the scene. Although he contributed to Democrat ActBlue in 2021 when Biden took office, Crooks was officially registered as a Republican and had only voted once in the 2022 election.

Two months following the Butler incident, Ryan Wesley Routh, 59, was taken into custody for brandishing a firearm at Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach while the president was playing a few holes away.

Routh had no political affiliation at the time of the attempt, but he stated he had voted for Trump in 2016 and had since felt disillusioned.

“I’m puzzled how we’ve allowed ourselves to get trapped in just a two-party system,” Routh wrote in a letter to Politico. “It infuriates me that my entire life has revolved around D’s and R’s. Not long ago, there was a call for a libertarian party, a Green party, and perhaps even a Truth party. However, our leaders seem to prevent any other parties from being acknowledged in any election.”

Trump’s comments about survival also followed the recent assassination of TPUSA leader Charlie Kirk, who was shot in the neck during a debate with students at a Utah campus, sending shockwaves through the MAGA community and heightening security concerns.

Kirk was reportedly targeted for propagating “hate,” as confessed by the assailant.

Regarding his midterm aspirations, Trump has pledged to back his allies in pivotal races nationwide.

He commenced fundraising efforts “the day after” defeating rival Kamala Harris in 2024 and has since raised over $1 billion through various initiatives.

The president informed governors in February, “We have that money, and I need to put it to use… If I can’t use it for myself, I suppose I will invest it in some of my friends, right?”

However, he expressed some concerns during his OAN interview, stating, “One thing I worry about is that over many, many years, I don’t have the statistics, but it seems the winning presidential candidate generally ends up losing the midterms.”
