Embattled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs reached out in a heartfelt letter to the Manhattan judge responsible for his sex crime case, just before his much-anticipated sentencing. He emphasized that he has experienced a “spiritual reset” and expressed his commitment to making the judge “proud” if granted freedom.

The 55-year-old entertainer is set to face sentencing on Friday in relation to prostitution charges linked to his long-standing reliance on escorts for “freak-off” sexual encounters. He was found guilty in July but escaped the most severe charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, which could have resulted in a life sentence.

Prosecutors are advocating for an 11-year minimum sentence, while Combs’ attorneys are urging for his release based on time served.

The once-celebrated music mogul has implored Judge Arun Subramanian to consider granting him “a second chance.”

Combs submitted his emotional letter to Subramanian just before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

In his correspondence, he reflected on the extensive trial that featured testimonies from former partners and victims detailing the distress they faced, while attributing his transformation to a “spiritual reset.”

“I can’t alter the past, but I can influence the future. I believe that God brought me here to facilitate my transformation. Since being incarcerated, I have undergone a spiritual reset. I’m on a path that requires time and effort, and I am proud to say I’m working harder than ever. I’m dedicated to remaining drug-free, non-violent, and peaceful. I thank God for my newfound strength and clarity; God makes no mistakes,” he wrote.

“I understand this trial has garnered immense global attention, and Your Honor might feel inclined to make an example of me. I respectfully ask that you demonstrate what a person can achieve when given a second chance. If you permit me to return to my family, I pledge I will not disappoint you and that I will earn your pride,” he stated.

Combs also commented on the distressing testimonies presented during the trial, including accounts from singer Cassie Ventura and another anonymous former girlfriend.

Ventura, who was nearing the end of her pregnancy during her testimony, recounted that Combs compelled her to participate in his prolonged “freak-offs” throughout their decade-long relationship.

Combs openly admitted to assaulting Ventura, attributing his “downfall” to his “selfishness” and “sadness,” yet expressed surprise at hearing similar allegations from the anonymous witness.

“Your honor, I believed I was providing for Jane and her child, but after hearing her testimony, I recognize the pain I caused her. I am profoundly sorry for this. I lost my direction along the way, consumed by drugs and excess,” Combs reflected.

The unnamed former partner testified that she endured beatings and drugging at the hands of Combs, along with being forced into sexual encounters with another male escort.

Once boasting a net worth of $400 million, Combs lamented the conditions he’s been forced to endure alongside average inmates, maintaining that he was not seeking sympathy.

“The circumstances resulting from my actions have been inhumane. I share this not for sympathy but to convey my truth, as well as that of my fellow inmates. We lack clean drinking water; instead, we are boiling water for consumption. We have only one broken washing machine for all, and I face daily threats of violence and death. Once again, I do not seek pity, but my time in MDC has indelibly changed me!” he expressed.

A line had already begun to form outside the Manhattan criminal courthouse Thursday evening, as paid attendees reserved spots for media and influencers eager to gain entry for the sentencing.

Combs’ legal team is pushing for his release given the 14 months he has already served during the lengthy proceedings.
