Netflix Sets Cast for Coming of Age Drama Series ‘The Body’

Netflix has announced the main cast for its upcoming coming-of-age drama, “The Body”, as reported by Variety.

Initially revealed with an eight-episode order this past May, the series’ official synopsis reads, “Following a disastrous dance-team initiation, a group of unruly Catholic school girls experience prophetic visions that incite chaos in their community.”

The main cast includes: Kristina Bogic (“Playing Gracie Darling,” “Howl”) as Anya Butler, Sara Boustany (“Hello Beautiful,” “PEN15”) portraying Elise Zakaria, Geena Meszaros (“The Order,” “Wayward”) as Lisbeth Anderson, Nnamdi Asomugha (“The Knife,” “The Savant”) in the role of Father Franklin, Louisa Krause (“King Kelly,” “The Dive”) as Catherine Anderson, Shirley Chen (“Slanted,” “Didi”) playing Maddie Delaney, Jackson Kelly (“The Pitt,” “Teacup”) as Leo Anderson, and Sofia Wylie (“The Map that Leads to You,” “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) as Grace Franklin.

Additionally, five recurring cast members have been included: Kyra Pierce (“Chicago Fire”) as Bailey Bradley, Phallon Pierce (“Chicago Fire”) as Brit Bradley, Marcel Ruiz (“Breakthrough,” “One Day at a Time”) as Tyler Santos, Orlando Norman (“The Map that Leads to You”) as Steven Maxwell, and Gabby Windey (“The Bachelor,” “The Traitors”) in the role of Coach Miller.

The Body Cast

Quinn Shephard is the creator of “The Body” and also takes on the roles of director and executive producer. Executive producers for the project include Peter Chernin, Amy Israel, and Josh Stern from North Road, along with Riley Keough, Gina Gammell, and Sacha Ben Harroche from Felix Culpa, with Blair Breard also serving as an executive producer.
