WASHINGTON — White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller vehemently criticized Rep. Dan Goldman, who accused him of inciting violence following an explosion that occurred at the residence of South Carolina Judge Diane Goodstein.
While the authorities are still probing the cause of the fire that destroyed the $1.5 million beach home belonging to the state circuit court judge, Goldman (D-NY) suggested it was an act of “arson,” attributing the blame to Miller and other figures within the MAGA camp for “doxxing and threatening” judges who have ruled against the administration.
Miller responded on X late Sunday, stating, “You are vile. Deeply warped and vile.”
You are vile. Deeply warped and vile. While the Trump Administration has launched the first-ever government-wide effort to combat and prosecute illegal doxing, sinister threats and political violence you continue to push despicable lies, demented smears, malicious defamation and…

He further expressed, “While the Trump Administration has initiated the first comprehensive government effort to combat and prosecute illegal doxing, dangerous threats, and political violence, you persist in promoting vile lies, insane smears, and harmful defamation, inciting unrest. Despicable.”
Miller also highlighted shocking statements made by Democratic candidate for Virginia attorney general, Jay Jones, who in 2022 expressed disturbing thoughts about then-state House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R-33rd Dist.) being shot. His comments were largely shared through messages but also included a call with House Delegate Carrie Coyner (R-Chesterfield) where he seemed to wish suffering upon Gilbert’s family to influence his political perspective, as reported by National Review.
Miller pointed out the striking contrast of Jones’ unfathomable thoughts with a recent lenient sentencing of a woman who pled guilty to attempting to murder conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, receiving merely eight years in prison.
“Meanwhile, the Democratic AG candidate in Virginia is daydreaming about the assassination of his political rivals, and a Biden-appointed federal judge is providing leniency to a dangerous individual who tried to kill a Supreme Court Justice,” Miller remarked as he condemned Goldman’s accusations.
“While you propagate your libelous nonsense, we will remain focused on ensuring public safety and combating domestic terrorism.”
Following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last month, Miller asserted that the Trump administration would mobilize its resources to confront what he termed a left-wing “domestic terror movement.”
He reaffirmed his stance on Saturday, cautioning about a “large and growing movement of left-wing terrorism” that is being “protected by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors, and attorneys general.”
The issue before us is now very simple and clear. There exists a large and organized movement of left-wing terrorism in this country. It is well-funded and shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors, and attorneys general. The only remedy is to employ legitimate…

Miller then called for “legitimate state power” to dismantle such terrorism and terror networks.
In response, Goldman questioned Miller during an early Monday appearance, urging him to condemn the arson that targeted Goodstein’s home.
“If you claim to oppose political violence, why won’t you denounce the violence inflicted upon a judge who made a ruling contrary to you and your administration?” the New York Democrat challenged. “It’s a straightforward question: Do you denounce all political violence or just that against your allies?”
Goodstein’s husband and son sustained injuries during the fire incident, and she later informed the Daily Mail that she was “all right” following the harrowing event.
