(Reuters) – On Monday, defense contractor Science Applications International Corp announced it has reached an agreement to acquire SilverEdge Government Solutions from the private equity firm Godspeed Capital for $205 million in cash.

The acquisition is anticipated to be finalized in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.

Based in Reston, Virginia, SAIC specializes in providing technical and enterprise IT services to government entities. Recently, in June, the company secured a significant contract worth $928 million over five years from the Department of Defense to supply engineering services for the U.S. Air Force’s TENCAP program.

With the purchase of SilverEdge, known for its cybersecurity, software, and intelligence solutions, SAIC aims to enhance its offerings by incorporating SilverEdge’s product line, particularly its key software-as-a-service suite, SOAR.

“SOAR provides adaptive, low-risk, and quick prototyping solutions that are in line with our growth strategy to offer integrated digital services that address national priorities,” stated SAIC CEO Toni Townes-Whitley.

For this transaction, SAIC received guidance from KPMG as financial advisor, while SilverEdge was represented by KippsDeSanto & Co.
