Attention all specters, phantoms, and art aficionados — this Halloween, we’re excited to partner with the Francis Kite Club in NYC for a spectacular art-themed costume bash.

Gather with the team from Hyperallergic, along with contributors, friends, and members of both Hyperallergic and the Francis Kite Club on October 29. Come dressed as your best interpretation of Munch’s iconic “The Scream,” a character from Hieronymus Bosch’s elaborate “Garden of Earthly Delights,” or perhaps something genuinely spine-chilling—like a grant application portal, yet another biennial, or a lengthy press release! (Just kidding.)

Relish in eerie cocktails while showcasing your artistic flair in the night’s Costume Competition. Judging will be conducted by Hyperallergic’s Hrag Vartanian, curator and author Laura Raicovich, with surprise judges joining! Victors will bask in acclaim and recognition (the hidden treasure in the art sphere) and will also be rewarded with special gifts. We might even have some tote bags up for grabs…

Tickets are available for $15 for Hyperallergic members and their guests, including a complimentary drink for the first 100 attendees. Friends at the Friend-level can join for free!

The event welcomes all Hyperallergic and Kite Members.
