A Texas man went on a shooting spree that left three people dead across multiple locations before taking his own life, according to police reports.

Authorities responded to a shooting incident in Sugar Land, located 19 miles southwest of Houston, around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. They found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a white SUV that had crashed off the roadway, as stated by the Sugar Land Police Department in a press release.

Initially, the shooting was suspected to be a case of road rage, but police later revealed that the woman and the shooter had a prior relationship.

A Texas man went on a shooting spree that left three people dead before he turned the gun on himself.

“This was not a random act of violence driven by road rage,” the police department communicated.

Two witnesses administered first aid to the injured woman until paramedics arrived, but she was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Shortly after, around 1:30 p.m., the suspect was seen engaging in a dispute with an employee at a mechanic shop in southwest Houston, just 10 minutes away from where he had previously shot the woman, reported Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson.

The shooter fired multiple rounds at the mechanic and another individual who were nearby, according to Crowson.

Tragically, both men lost their lives from the gunfire, police confirmed.

Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson discusses the ongoing investigation into the tragic events of October 8, 2025.
Although the shooting was initially attributed to road rage, it was later confirmed that the woman and the shooter had an ongoing relationship.

The individual filming the incident was the body shop owner and was just 35 years old, family members shared with KHOU 11.

Following the confrontations, the shooter drove 2.5 miles away, where he was found deceased inside his vehicle from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police reports.

It remains unclear if the shooter had any connections to the other two victims involved in the incident.
