“Cross” is set to return for its second season in 2026.

During the New York Comic-Con panel, it was announced that the drama on Amazon Prime Video will launch its first three episodes on February 11, followed by weekly episode releases until March 18. A teaser for the upcoming season was also revealed, which can be viewed below.

Aldis Hodge will reprise his role as Alex Cross, a character inspired by James Patterson’s novels. The description for Season 2 mentions, “Cross is on the trail of a relentless vigilante who targets corrupt billionaire magnates.”

The cast for Season 2 includes new faces like Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham, alongside returning actors Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill.

Ben Watkins, who developed the series, continues as the executive producer and showrunner. Hodge also serves as an executive producer while starring in the show. The executive production team comprises Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa. The series is a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios.

Remarkably, “Cross” was renewed for a second season even before the inaugural season premiered. The series garnered positive feedback from critics and audiences alike, with Amazon reporting the show attracted 40 million viewers within the first 20 days of being available.

This show was originally developed at Amazon back in 2020. Morgan Freeman portrayed Cross in two earlier films—“Kiss the Girls” (1997) and “Along Came a Spider” (2001). Tyler Perry took on the role in the 2012 film “Alex Cross.”
