The recently released individual who murdered a 6-year-old boy during a home invasion in Kentucky back in 2015 was arrested again in Florida on Thursday afternoon, as confirmed by officials.
Ronald Exantus â released just last week after serving a mere eight years for his horrific crime â has been taken into custody at Marion County Jail for violating his parole and failing to register as a convicted felon, according to official prison records and the office of the state’s Attorney General.
Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on X that his office collaborated with the Marion County State Attorneyâs Office after they were notified that this dangerous individual, who fatally stabbed a child, was located in Florida.

The AG mentioned, â[T]he Marion County Sheriffâs Office and the 5th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Ronald Exantus due to his failure to register as a convicted felon.â
He added, âState authorities are currently seeking to have him returned to Kentucky.â
After his release from a Kentucky facility, Exantus was under mandatory reentry supervision in Florida, as per WKYT.
Exantus was unexpectedly released by Kentucky’s Department of Corrections on October 1, which contradicts the parole board’s suggestion that he should serve the full term of his sentence, the report noted.

In 2018, Exantus faced a 20-year sentence for his actions during the deadly home invasion that claimed the life of 6-year-old Logan Tipton, who was attacked while he slept.
During this incident, several family members of Logan were also injured and witnessed the tragic murder.
Exantusâ defense team successfully argued that he was criminally insane, leading to his conviction on lesser assault charges, resulting in a substantially reduced sentence of two decades.
However, he was controversially released after spending a mere eight years in custody.
The Tipton family has voiced their outrage and fear following the early release of the man who took their son. Loganâs father has vowed to exact revenge should he encounter Exantus again.
âHe told [my daughter] that he was going to kill every one of us. Now, I have to stay vigilant to protect my children because I will not endure another loss,â Dean Tipton told Fox56.
âIâve had my talks with God, and Iâm not afraid to say that I told the court â if I ever come face to face with him, I will kill the man. I will not hesitate,â the father added.
