Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted enjoying each other’s company in New York City while supporting a meaningful initiative.
On Thursday, October 9, Harry, aged 41, and Meghan, aged 44, made a joint appearance at the World Mental Health Day Gala organized by Project Healthy Minds.
The couple turned heads in coordinated black outfits during their outing in Manhattan. Meghan styled her look with a black blazer and matching pants, accessorizing with a gold necklace, her hair elegantly tied back in a ponytail. In contrast, Harry opted for a polished black suit paired with a patterned tie.
They radiated happiness as they posed together on the red carpet, holding hands and smiling for the cameras before receiving the Humanitarians of the Year Award from the organization.
In a joint statement, Harry and Meghan expressed, “Working with families and young individuals to prioritize online safety has been among the most significant endeavors of our lives. As parents, their stories have compelled us to take action, and we are honored to support them.”
They added, “We are proud to partner with Project Healthy Minds as we collaboratively bring attention to one of the most critical issues we face today.”
Parents to 6-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet, Harry and Meghan are also set to participate in Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival on Friday, October 10. Their organization, Archewell Foundation, has co-produced several discussions focusing on influential figures in the mental health sector at the event.
Moreover, Archewell’s Lost Screen Memorial, a digital tribute honoring children who lost their lives due to social media harassment, will be featured prominently during the festival.
Since stepping back from their roles as senior royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan have dedicated themselves to various advocacy efforts. They made the move from England to California, taking their kids along for the transition.
This change also strained Harry’s relationship with his father, King Charles III. Recently, Harry had a reunion with Charles, 76, for the first time in two years in September.
According to a source, the meeting was initiated by Harry’s handwritten letter to Charles earlier this year, conveying his desire to reconnect. The father-son duo met at Clarence House in London after weeks of uncertainty regarding the encounter. The atmosphere of the gathering was described as “super positive and very relaxed,” bringing some relief to both Harry and his father.
Harry traveled to London by himself for the annual WellChild Awards, while Meghan remained in Montecito, California; she later made her own solo trip to attend Paris Fashion Week.
Meghan’s appearance on Saturday, October 3, celebrated Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s debut collection for Balenciaga.
“Over the years, the Duchess has worn numerous designs by Pierpaolo. Their collaboration has led to memorable moments on the global stage,” a representative for Meghan stated. “She has always appreciated his artistry and contemporary style, and this evening represents the culmination of years of creativity and friendship, reflecting her support for his new journey at Balenciaga.”
Meghan, who was elegantly dressed in a sophisticated white pantsuit with a matching cape for the occasion, later shared her thoughts on the runway show through Instagram.
“Reflecting on last night. Thank you @pppiccioli and @balenciaga. I’ve truly missed you 🇫🇷 — thank you for the love ❤️,” she wrote on Instagram on Sunday, October 5.
