Tamar Braxton is keeping quiet about the impending drama in season 2 of The Braxtons.
“Honestly, I have no idea about that show! I really don’t know anything,” Tamar, 48, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending the inaugural National PrEP Day by MISTR on Thursday, October 9. “I’ve not seen any of it.”
Last month, We TV unveiled the initial trailer for season 2 of The Braxtons. The preview shows Tamar and her sister Toni Braxton seemingly engaged in a heated conversation over dinner, leading to some dramatic shifts in the atmosphere.
Although Tamar admits she hasn’t viewed that specific episode, she’s pleased to share that she is in a good place with her family.
“Toni and I had dinner recently; it was her birthday just two days ago,” she recounted to Us at The Abbey in West Hollywood, California. “She turns fifty and we’re hanging out all weekend long. It’s all family here. Family has its ups and downs, but we’ll always be family.”
Before joining the cast for season 2 of The Braxtons, Tamar expressed her hesitance about diving back into the world of reality television.
Ultimately, she chose to reconnect with her sisters Toni, Towanda, and Trina, along with their mother, Ms. Evelyn Braxton, to present their real and unfiltered lives to the audience.

“Honestly, I was hesitant about returning for season two,” she said. “But family is always there for you when they need you, and so here I am.”
Earlier this summer, Tamar faced a health challenge when she suffered a facial injury.
In a shocking social media update, the reality star revealed she “almost lost her life” after being discovered “in a pool of blood.”
“Each day brings its own challenges. I fractured my nose, lost some teeth, and my mobility has been affected,” she posted on Instagram Story on August 19. “My perspective on life has changed dramatically. My health is improving, and now it’s a mental journey beginning. Please pray for me, I’m still unsure of what happened.”
Nearly two months post-incident, Tamar feels thankful for her strides towards recovery, even if she remains uncertain about the circumstances of her injuries.
“I’m back! Tamar Braxton is back, baby!” she declared to Us. “It was a frightening experience, but my recovery is progressing, and I’m here. We don’t have all the answers, but thank goodness it wasn’t anything that could be diagnosed beyond sleepwalking, which is wild.”
Tamar continued, “It turns out, around 75 percent of Americans experience sleepwalking, and sleeping pills can worsen the issue.”
During the celebratory event for the first-ever National PrEP Day, Tamar embraced a night of revelry with Tristan Schukraft and MISTR. PrEP is a daily medication or biannual injection aimed at reducing HIV transmission risk by nearly 99 percent.
“I’m a woman using PrEP,” she confided to Us. “It’s been invaluable for me, especially after realizing that it’s not limited to any one group, and I felt compelled to spread the word about its benefits.”
