Inquired with Sister About Killing Mother…
Following Gruesome Allegations Against Mom’s BF

Damien Hurstel, a 19-year-old from Staten Island, who is accused of decapitating his mother’s boyfriend, allegedly showed his younger sister the gruesome result… then questioned her if she wanted their mother to survive.
Hurstel’s mother, Alicia Zayas, recounted to the New York Post that her daughter Bri asked her brother if he intended to harm their mother as well, to which he replied, “Do you want her to live?”
Zayas reported that her daughter responded with “Yes, please,” and her son confirmed, “Okay, she’ll live.”
According to Zayas, Bri then requested to leave the bloodied bathroom where Hurstel is said to have removed portions of her deceased boyfriend’s brain with a spoon.
She mentioned that her son asked his sister if she intended to inform their mother of the events, and the sister replied “No” before fleeing to the backyard, where she hid behind a shed and contacted their mother, terrified.
Zayas said her daughter spoke on the phone to tell her that her brother had killed the boyfriend, Anthony Casalaspro, stating, “he doesn’t have a head.”
Hurstel faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and manslaughter. Reports indicate he has a documented history of mental health issues, including schizophrenia.
