Ryan Sheckler is poised to mark a significant milestone — six years of sobriety — and he confidently shared with TMZ Sports that life has improved tremendously since he chose to stop drinking.
The skateboarding icon provided a personal update at LAX this week, expressing his enthusiasm for the benefits of his sober journey.
He noted that sobriety has had a positive impact on every aspect of his life, including his skateboarding.
“I’m heading to Paris right now to skate,” he shared. “I thought I was done competing, but I’m skating better than ever!”

Sheckler, who is now a husband and a proud father of two, made the decision to quit drinking on March 30, 2020, after realizing it was negatively affecting those around him.
“I wasn’t just impacting myself,” he explained. “I was hurting those who care about me. I couldn’t bear the thought of causing them pain anymore.”
Sheckler remarked, “There’s nothing better than how I’m functioning right now.”
The 35-year-old also discussed one of his upcoming ventures — a film titled “Dream“.
Ryan plays the role of a cop in the movie and expressed how at ease he is with this character.
