Propagate Content announced on Monday at Mipcom that Sky has joined forces to co-produce the upcoming feature documentary “I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not,” an authorized but candid documentary that delves into the life of comedy icon Chevy Chase.
Set to premiere on Sky Documentaries in early 2026, the film is helmed by two-time Emmy Award-winning director Marina Zenovich, known for her compelling works including “Richard Pryor: Omit the Logic” and “Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind.”
“We are excited to welcome Sky as part of this outstanding team creating the definitive narrative of Chevy Chase,” remarked Howard T. Owens, co-CEO of Propagate Content. “Chevy is a multifaceted comedic legend, and Marina’s fearless direction will illuminate this complexity. Sky’s dedication to impactful storytelling makes them the perfect collaborator for sharing this story with global audiences.”
Jamie Morris, executive director of content strategy and performance at Sky, stated: “From being a founding member of the original ‘SNL’ cast to securing roles in classics like ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation,’ ‘Caddyshack,’ and ‘Fletch’ – Chevy Chase stands as a comedy icon. Marina Zenovich is the perfect filmmaker to portray both the sharp wit and complexity of this legend, and we eagerly await sharing this film with audiences on Sky and NOW.”
In the documentary, Zenovich aims to unveil Chevy Chase’s inner world through candid conversations with his family, friends, and co-stars, peeling back the layers of his public persona.
“I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not” is brought to life by CNN Films and West Buttermilk in collaboration with Propagate Content, Five All in the Fifth Productions, and Sky. Executive producers for the film include Zenovich, P.G. Morgan for PMZ Pictures; Amy Entelis and Roxanna Sherwood for CNN Films; James Packer for West Buttermilk; along with Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Andrew D Corkin, and Isabel San Vargas for Propagate Content; and Doug Banker for Five All in the Fifth.
