Alyssa Farah Griffin, a co-host of ‘The View’, made a notable promise back in January: if Donald Trump managed to secure the release of hostages, she would don a MAGA hat on air. The question now is whether she will hold up her end of the bargain.

One might argue that she should keep that promise.

While her co-hosts were meticulously navigating their remarks to avoid giving Trump any credit, Griffin openly acknowledged his role in what she described as an extraordinary diplomatic success.

According to FOX News,

On Monday, ABC’s ‘The View’ celebrated the safe return of Israeli hostages, with Griffin crediting her former employer, Donald Trump, along with his administration for their pivotal role in this significant development.

“If this deal holds,” she emphasized, “it is a massive diplomatic achievement.”

“The entire world can breathe a sigh of relief,” she added. Meanwhile, co-host Whoopi Goldberg aired clips of jubilations marking peace in the strife-torn region, expressing hopes that the tranquility prevails.

Griffin noted the profound impact of the events of October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a deadly assault, resulting in over 1,100 fatalities and the abduction of around 250 individuals, including young children.

“Regardless of personal sentiments towards Trump, I believe he, along with [Special Envoy] Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, deserve recognition for this agreement,” she highlighted, pointing out their direct negotiations with Hamas.

Reflecting on her January statement:

Griffin had promised to sport a MAGA hat for a day should Trump facilitate the release of Israeli hostages. “If he gets them out, I commit to wearing a MAGA hat on the show, praising him for the achievement,” she declared.

In today’s context, she tweeted:

“Upon reflecting on the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, the President and his team merit substantial credit for this landmark diplomatic success, the return of hostages, and the cessation of violence. Let us pray for lasting peace.” pic.twitter.com/bXvP8TQVDl

While her accolades for Trump are commendable, particularly from a platform like ‘The View’, there lies an eager anticipation for Griffin to fulfill her promise and don that MAGA hat. The audience is watching, Alyssa.
