A judge in Florida has issued a restraining order against Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) after his former girlfriend, current Miss United States Lindsey Langston, accused him of harassment and making threats to release explicit videos of her.

The ruling, delivered on Tuesday by Circuit Judge Fred Koberlein Jr. in Columbia County, prohibits Mills from any violent actions towards Langston and restricts him from contacting her or mentioning her on social media platforms until January 2026, as detailed in the judgment obtained by Politico.

Koberlein Jr. agreed with Langston’s claim that Mills had inflicted “substantial emotional distress” upon her, asserting that he presented “no credible rebuttal” to her allegations, as stated in the order.

The judge determined that Langston had reasonable grounds to believe she was at risk of further acts of dating violence without safeguards in place.

“After reviewing the testimonies and circumstances, the court does not interpret [Mills’] statements about the intimate videos as reliable,” Koberlein noted in the ruling.

“Even if the respondent’s account were factual, it remains irrelevant because there was no evidence presented indicating that [Langston] was aware that the respondent no longer had access to their intimate videos,” he continued.

The restraining order was the result of two court hearings during which both parties shared their accounts of their relationship and exchanged an array of texts, calls, and messages.

In July, Langston filed a report stating that Mills, 45, had threatened to make public intimate videos and nude images of her, along with statements indicating he would “harm any men” she dated following their breakup earlier this year when she learned he was involved with another woman.

Mills reportedly sent a number of harassing messages to Langston in May and June, including one on May 15 where he suggested she should “let every guy you date know that if we cross paths, they should be ready,” according to NBC News.

He also allegedly threatened to disclose videos featuring Langston, stating, “I can send him a few videos of you as well. Oh, I still have them,” as reported by the news outlet.

According to Koberlein’s judgment, Mills ignored more than ten requests from Langston to cease contacting her, NBC reported.

Mills and Langston, who is a GOP state committeewoman, began dating in November 2021 and had been cohabiting in New Smyrna Beach, Florida since May 2024 before their relationship ended.

Mills was among 409 House members who voted in April in favor of the Take It Down Act, which makes the online distribution of “revenge porn” or AI-generated explicit images without consent a criminal offense.
