Erin Campaneris, the mother of Mark Sanchez’s child, has taken refuge at her parents’ home in Arizona this week, following the former Jets quarterback’s shocking arrest, as reported by The Post.
Campaneris, who is also known as Bobby T, was seen out on a walk with her 8-year-old son on Tuesday near her family’s modest 1,300-square-foot condo, which belongs to her parents, Bert and Evelyn Campaneris—the latter being a celebrated former shortstop for the Oakland Athletics.
The 46-year-old British-born supermodel and ex-partner of Sanchez was dressed in a red gingham column maxi dress paired with mesh Mary Jane shoes.
Just days prior to her outing, Campaneris shared her thoughts about the NFL quarterback now turned commentator, shortly after he was charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a 69-year-old truck driver in Indianapolis.
“Unfortunately, none of this surprises me,” she posted on her Instagram Story last Sunday.
Evelyn, Campaneris’s mother, informed The Post that her daughter is not permanently residing at the condo, valued at approximately $500,000—implying that they are staying there temporarily until things settle down.
She opted not to comment on the ongoing Sanchez situation, stating that her lawyer advised her to remain silent.
“I have always prioritized our 8-year-old son, Daniel, and chose to keep quiet publicly to safeguard him,” Campaneris stated in her social media message.
“My concerns have always centered around [Daniel’s] safety and the influences he faces,” she added.
In addition to Sanchez, Campaneris was previously romantically linked to actor Will Poulter, known for his role in “The Bear,” in 2022 before they ended their relationship earlier this year, according to The Sun.
According to an insider, “[Campaneris’s] primary focus has always been her son, and living in America is manageable when Will is there, though it can be challenging at times.”
As for her father, Sanchez and Campaneris began dating in 2017.
Sanchez tied the knot with actress Perry Mattfeld in May 2023, who announced in February her pregnancy with twins.
The couple initially crossed paths in Chicago in 2017 while she was filming “Shameless” and he was with the Bears, thanks to an introduction from teammate Scotty McKnight, and they found they had much in common.
“We both attended USC, were actually born in the same hospital, and share Hispanic heritage—lots of quirky similarities,” Mattfeld shared in a recent Glamour interview.
Last Sunday, Sanchez was processed by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, eight days following an incident where he was stabbed in the chest after a confrontation with 69-year-old truck driver Perry Tole in Indianapolis.
Reports indicate that Tole was parked in a hotel loading area when Sanchez allegedly confronted him regarding a parking spot, based on court records.
Sanchez now faces a level 5 felony charge for battery resulting in serious bodily injury, in addition to three misdemeanor charges: battery resulting in injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.
His next court appearance is on November 5, after waiving the initial hearing scheduled for October 7.
Tole has also begun a lawsuit against Sanchez seeking compensation for damages.
The 69-year-old claims he endured “serious permanent disfigurement” as a result of the altercation and sustained significant injuries to his head, jaw, and neck, according to the lawsuit.
