Progressive Congressman Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has reportedly spent over $35,000 on “luxury limousine services” from October 2024 to September 2025, according to her filings with the Federal Election Commission.
Her campaign records indicate expenditures totaling approximately $36,717 to “Aline Luxury Limo Services,” a firm operating out of the Detroit suburbs, as detailed in filings examined by Fox News Digital.
Numerous transactions categorized as “travel” and “transportation” occurred over the course of about a year.
Individual payments to the limousine service were documented, ranging from $118.80 to $1,326, with several transactions falling in the $600-$700 range.
Fox News Digital attempted to contact Tlaib’s campaign for clarification regarding these expenses, but did not receive an immediate reply.
While Aline Luxury Limo Services lacks publicly accessible information, a now-closed website for DTW Chauffeured Rides — a business registered at the same location — described itself as a “luxury transportation service operating for over ten years,” according to an archived webpage available through the Wayback Machine.
The archived website mentioned that the company provided “a variety of vehicles, from classic limousines to contemporary sedans and SUVs,” emphasizing its dedication to delivering a luxurious experience at reasonable rates.
As the first Palestinian-born woman to be elected to Congress and a prominent progressive advocate, Tlaib consistently speaks out against wealth and income disparities in the U.S.
In September, alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Tlaib introduced the “Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act,” intended to “combat corporate greed and limit the excessive salaries of top executives,” as stated in their joint announcement.
Tlaib criticized the disparity, highlighting that CEOs earn “290 times more than their average worker,” and voiced that “working individuals are fed up with corporate greed.”
“It’s outrageous that corporations continue to accumulate record profits while exploiting their workforce,” Tlaib stated, adding, “I’m proud to partner with Senator Bernie Sanders in reintroducing the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act to tackle the massive income and wealth inequality in our country. It’s time for the wealthy to contribute their fair share.”
Following the passage of the now-infamous bill backed by President Donald Trump, Tlaib condemned it as “an assault on our communities” during a period marked by significant income inequality.
“During a time of stark income and wealth disparity, with 60% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, this budget is catastrophic for the working families we serve,” she remarked.
Tlaib articulated that “Republicans are literally robbing hungry children of nutrition by slashing billions from assistance programs. Meanwhile, the same representatives who insist there’s no funding available to support starving children or provide necessary healthcare are willing to approve an additional $150 billion for arms manufacturers and endless warfare, along with $170 billion for undercover agents terrorizing our neighborhoods and unlawfully disappearing residents for profit.”
“Every legislator who voted in favor of this destructive budget has betrayed the people they were elected to serve in favor of the rich and powerful, and they deserve to be removed from office,” she concluded.
