Plot for Season 2
This Disney adaptation derives from a series of young adult novels authored by Rick Riordan. The first season detailed the narrative from the initial book, named The Lightning Thief. The second season promises to adapt the subsequent volume, The Sea of Monsters.
Following the first book’s events, Percy enjoys a tranquil year at Meriwether College Prep. However, his life takes a turn as he confronts flesh-eating giants on the last school day, and Annabeth arrives at Camp Half-Blood bearing unsettling news. The magical barrier safeguarding the camp from outside threats has collapsed, placing demigods and other beings at risk from an enigmatic foe.
During season two, Percy will also initiate a search for Grover, who vanished on his own mission.

Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood a year later, only to find a world turned upside down. His bond with Annabeth is evolving, he discovers he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover is missing, and their camp faces a siege from Kronos’ minions. Regrettably, Lance Reddick, who portrayed Zeus, will be absent in season 2 following his passing shortly after filming for season 1 wrapped. His role is likely to be recast.
Daniel Diemer (Under the Bridge) joins the cast as Tyson, a Cyclops and Percy’s half-brother, born of Poseidon and a nymph. After surviving on the streets of New York City for several years, he is taken in by Meriwether College Prep, where he meets Percy.
Additionally, season 2 will introduce the Gray Sisters—named Tempest, Anger, and Wasp—who are ancient, enigmatic beings sharing one eye and one tooth among them, and operate a cab service catering to the extraordinary citizens of Percy Jackson’s universe.
Kristen Schaal (What We Do in the Shadows) will portray Tempest, Sandra Bernhard (American Horror Story: NYC) will play Anger, and Margaret Cho (The Flight Attendant) will depict Wasp.
New cast member Timothy Simons (Veep) takes on the role of Tantalus. The creators describe him as:
[He is] sardonic, manipulative, openly hostile, and perpetually in a foul mood… cursed with endless hunger and thirst but never able to indulge. Writing credits include Monica Owusu-Breen, Daphne Olive, Stewart Strandberg, Zoë Neary, Joe Tracz, and Xavier Stiles, with Rick Riordan serving as an executive producer alongside Steinberg and Shotz. Prospects for Season 3

In season 3, Kate McKinnon will take on the role of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess associated with love and beauty. Saara Chaudry, known for her work in The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Breadwinner, will portray Zoë Nightshade, an immortal hunter and Artemis’ lieutenant. The official description (via The Hollywood Reporter) states:
[Zoë] has stood beside Artemis for over 2,000 years. She is a valiant warrior, often serious, which sometimes amuses the demigods, but she’s also an essential member of every quest, ready to make sacrifices for the greater good.
Olive Abercrombie is set to play the demigod Bianca di Angelo, while Levi Chrisopulos will depict her younger brother, demigod Nico di Angelo.
