The iconic Victoria’s Secret fashion show may have concluded, yet Sydney Sweeney is translating boudoir styling into a stunning red carpet look.
As she promotes her upcoming biopic Christy, which centers on the renowned boxer Christy Martin, Sweeney arrived in the United Kingdom for the BFI London Film Festival, embracing a bold fashion choice for her appearance. Collaborating with Seán McGirr, she donned a one-of-a-kind McQueen gown.

“We aimed to present Sydney in a fresh light for this event—a departure from the fairy-tale and romantic shapes she usually opts for,” her stylist, Molly Dickson, shared with Vogue. “What I admire most about Sydney is her willingness to explore new styles; she’s always excited to try new things and grow. This outfit was intended to nudge her slightly beyond her comfort zone, and McQueen captured that vision brilliantly.”

Her ensemble featured a ballet pink embroidered lace gown adorned with a ruffled hem, complemented by a full-coverage silk satin corset with a gathered bodice. The innovative two-in-one design fused McGirr’s gothic aesthetic with Sweeney’s appreciation for corsetry, effortlessly marrying romance and drama. Dickson explained that the subdued color palette echoed Martin’s style. “Sydney specifically wished to incorporate pink as a tribute to Christy, whose trademark ring gear was predominantly pink—a subtle yet significant homage reflected in this outfit,” she highlighted.

Indeed, a recurring theme has emerged. During the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, Sweeney chose a custom pink corset dress designed by Erdem, featuring a gracefully draped skirt. She graced the red carpet alongside Martin, who, appropriately, wore her signature hue.
