A horrifying incident occurred last week outside a subway station in Queens, where a sushi chef was viciously attacked by a stranger. Ferdianto Suwandi, 29, was left bloodied and disoriented after being knocked out cold by a random sucker punch. The brutal assault took place at the 61st Street-Woodside 7 train stop, leaving Suwandi with a split lip and in a state of shock.

Suwandi, who had just arrived at the station after work, was checking his phone before crossing the street when the attacker struck without warning. The assailant, who remains unidentified, left Suwandi unconscious for about a minute before fleeing the scene. When Suwandi regained consciousness, he found himself surrounded by concerned onlookers, his vision blurred, and his hearing impaired.

The aftermath of the attack was traumatic for Suwandi, who struggled to eat solid foods due to the severity of his injuries. He required stitches for his busted lip and could only consume soft foods like instant noodles and porridge. The emotional toll of the assault weighed heavily on Suwandi, who expressed fear and uncertainty about his safety in New York City.

Despite the harrowing experience, no arrests had been made in connection with the attack as of Tuesday. Suwandi called on government officials to address the issue of subway violence and ensure the safety of commuters. He contemplated leaving the city and expressed doubts about returning to the scene of the crime, emphasizing the need for increased security measures to prevent such random acts of violence.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that lurk in public spaces, prompting calls for greater vigilance and protection for individuals like Suwandi who fall victim to senseless attacks. As the investigation continues, Suwandi remains hopeful for justice and resolution in the wake of this traumatic event.
