William J. Crain, hailing from Louisiana, has been nominated to serve as the United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana, succeeding Eldon E. Fallon, who has retired.

Alexander C. Van Hook, also from Louisiana, is set to take on the role of United States District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana, taking over from Elizabeth Erny Foote, who has retired.

Brian Barber, from Louisiana, is nominated to become the United States Marshal for the Western District of Louisiana for a four-year term, replacing Henry Lee Whitehorn, Sr., whose term has expired.

Brian Birdwell, from Texas, has been tapped for the position of Assistant Secretary of Defense, succeeding Christopher Joseph Lowman.

John Breslow, representing Arizona, has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Cyprus.

Wesley Brooks from Florida is nominated as the Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, taking over from Monica P. Medina, who has resigned.

Edward Eppler of Connecticut is set to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at the Department of Transportation, succeeding Victoria Marie Baecher Wassmer, who has resigned.

Gregory Gilmore from Illinois will serve as the United States Attorney for the Central District of Illinois for a term of four years, taking over from Gregory K. Harris.

Brian Gootkin, hailing from Montana, is nominated to be the United States Marshal for the District of Montana for a term of four years, succeeding Craig J. Anderson.

Thomas Govan, Jr., from Alabama, is nominated to serve as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama for a four-year term, succeeding Louis V. Franklin, Sr., whose term has expired.

    Kevin Holmes, representing Arkansas, is set to become the United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas for a four-year term, succeeding Duane A. Kees, whose term has expired.

Gregory LoGerfo of Massachusetts, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, is nominated as the Coordinator for Counterterrorism, holding the rank and status of Ambassador at Large, succeeding Elizabeth H. Richard.

Ryan Raybould from Texas is named as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas for a term of four years, succeeding Leigha Simonton.

James Stuart, representing Minnesota, is nominated to be the United States Marshal for the District of Minnesota for a four-year term, succeeding Eddie M. Frizell.

Phillip Williams, Jr., from Alabama, is set to take on the role of United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama for a four-year term, succeeding John E. Town, whose term has expired.

 WITHDRAWALS SENT TO THE SENATE:

Jeffrey Bornstein of Florida has been withdrawn from consideration for the position of Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), succeeding Michael J. McCord, who resigned. This withdrawal was submitted to the Senate on May 6, 2025.

Kevin O’Farrell from Florida has been withdrawn from consideration for the role of Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical, and Adult Education at the Department of Education, succeeding Scott Stump. This withdrawal was sent to the Senate on February 11, 2025.
