A tech executive in Chicago was tragically found deceased and missing a foot at the bottom of a staircase in a luxury condo. The incident, which occurred on October 27, 2024, has been linked to her husband, who is currently in custody for assaulting her.

The victim, Caitlin Tracey, 36, succumbed to “multiple injuries” and a fall from a significant height after plummeting more than 20 stories in the high-rise building located in Windy City’s South Loop neighborhood.

Adam Beckerink, the husband of Caitlin Tracey, has been charged with her brutal murder. He was arrested after filing a false missing person’s report, claiming he had not seen his wife for over a month.

Video surveillance footage from the building captured the couple together just three days before Caitlin Tracey’s body was discovered. Beckerink, 47, had a history of domestic violence against his estranged wife.

Exactly a year after the tragic incident, Beckerink was charged with first-degree murder. The family of Caitlin Tracey expressed their grief and hope for justice in the case.

Beckerink, currently serving time for domestic violence charges, was described as controlling and abusive by Tracey’s family. They recounted the harrowing experiences Caitlin faced before her untimely death.

Tracey’s mother detailed the abuse her daughter endured and the ongoing trauma the family is coping with. Despite the legal proceedings, the pain of losing Caitlin remains profound.

Beckerink will continue to be detained in Michigan before facing the first-degree murder charge. The case has left a lasting impact on Tracey’s loved ones, who seek closure and justice for her untimely passing.
