Denver Man Found Guilty of Lesser Charges in Park Hill Motorcycle Club Shooting

A Denver man accused of murder in a fatal 2023 shooting at a Park Hill motorcycle club has been convicted on lesser charges this week.

Todd Lynn Washington, 42, was initially found guilty of reckless endangerment in August, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict on first-degree murder charges.

During his second trial this month, a Denver jury determined Washington was guilty of two counts of manslaughter and acquitted him of two counts of first-degree murder, according to court records.

Washington is set to be sentenced on Wednesday afternoon.

His attorney, Anna Geigle from the Denver law firm Geigle Morales, expressed gratitude towards the jury and court for their dedication to a fair trial.

Denver District Attorney John Walsh stated that his office respects the jury’s decision and is pleased that Washington, along with Shon McPherson, who was previously sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the murders, are being held accountable for their actions.

Washington and McPherson, 34, were arrested in November 2023 following a shooting outside Hell’s Lovers Motorcycle Club, resulting in the deaths of Michael David, 43, and Joshua Batts, 39, and injuries to three others.

The incident allegedly stemmed from a confrontation between a security guard, Washington’s daughter, and the club, leading to Washington and McPherson planning the shooting.

McPherson was previously convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder by a Denver jury in July.

This story is ongoing and will be updated as more information becomes available.
